Karen Skoglund—known to many as Purple Karen—is a visionary sewing instructor and celebrated fiber artist whose work spans more than four decades at the highest levels of Sewing, Fashion, Design, and Textiles.
Sewing Lessons
With over four decades of sewing mastery, Karen shares her passion by teaching others the joy of creating with their own hands.
She offers private instruction in her Home Studio as well as group classes at The Quilt Tree and Midland Park Community School welcoming children, teens, and adults of all levels. Karen also serves as an Assistant Professor of Craft of Costume at Ramapo College.
